2) Television Advertisement

Television advertisement is a paid form of advertisement that the advertisers pay for the commercials on television during a tv program. It conveys a message, aimed to promote a product or service.

3) Radio

Advertising in cinemas is another form of advertisers pay to local cinemas to play their advertisement to target the cinema audience to look at their advertisement. The most important thing is that the cinema audiences are not easily to skip the advertisement when they are in cinema.

7) Outdoor advertising

It refers to the advertiser place their advertisement outside the building such as streets and highway and so on, some will advertise on the public transport such as bus, MRT, etc. People who are passing by the street or the public transport will see the advertisement.

E-mail advertising is a type of marketing done via email whereby the recipient has agreed to receive promotional messages from a brand. In this form of advertising, marketers seek permission from their potential customers by giving them an option to opt-in ahead of sending any emails.

How to get attention of targeted audiences through advertisement?

1. Use the language that everyone can understand

Sometimes people are not putting attention to your advertisement is for a reason that they don’t know the language. Therefore, to avoid this problem, marketers should use a simple, easily understanding and widely used language to advertise in that area so that the advertisement is effective delivered to the audiences.

2. Highlight Your Competitive Advantage

Don’t put too much information in one advertisement. This will let people overlook and misunderstanding about your advertisement. Therefore, to get attention from the targeted audience, just highlight your product’s competitive advantage and people may feel they want to buy it after watching or listening to the advertisement.

3. Invite suitable person to endorse the product (E.g.: expert)

People might get attention when the expertise is speaking for the product. For example, if a dentist is speaking for a tooth related product such as toothpaste and toothbrush, people may feel the product is trusted because there is an expert speaking for the product in the advertisement. However, the dentist is not suitable to speak for baby product or product that related to support bones and joints because he/she is not expertise in that area and people will also lacking trust to the endorser and the product anymore.

4. Advertise in the Right Places

Your favorite magazine, radio station, or even television program might not be a favorite of your audience. Do some research about your target market to understand who they are and determine what they read, watch, and listen to. Then advertise in the appropriate media to ensure that you reach and draw attention to your target market.
